TEXTURES !!

1. Texture is the way a surface, substance or piece of cloth feels when you touch it, for example how rough, smooth, hard or soft it is.

2. Shooting textures takes the challenge one step further: conveying to the viewer not only how something looks, but also how it feels to the touch.

3. Bricks often have the added bonus of creating patterns and symmetrical shapes.

4. One plant you can photograph is leaves because they can be veined, spiky, succulent.

5. One touchable quality of paint can be a shiny new coat of paint on a windowsill.

6. Stone lend itself to texture because they're fascinating and you can find them anywhere you go.

7. Some aspects of wood thats inspiring are how it can be twisted roots, roughly chopped fire piles, shavings and splinters in the carpenter’s yard, smoothly sanded new grain, visible gnarls and knots, a slickly varnished chair leg.

8. Three fabrics we can photograph in school are our uniform shirts, rugs and silky pants.

9. Rope can be rough and we can find rope in the gym when we play tug a war.

10. Metal is a good material to photograph because metal easily gives up its age and provides the photographer with another great texture to work on.
